As a recognized leader in transforming the learning experience, the CECCE organized this event to give student profile upon finishing school leads an opportunity to share their schools’ learning experience transformation successes. The leads also presented projects that foster deep learning and provided an overview of the many learning experience transformation initiatives happening within the CECCE.

Throughout the day, the hundreds of attendees toured the booths and took in workshops on topics including robotics, schoolyard transformation, cascade planning, hybrid classes, critical thinking, genius hour, and many other innovative professional practices that engage all students in learning.

“This format worked really well, and I’m so pleased that the CECCE is calling on its own experts to share their winning practices and their successes with their peers,” said CECCE Chair Johanne Lacombe. “Who better than our student profile upon finishing school leads to host workshops on learning experience transformation? Their mandate within the CECCE is to implement the profile by encouraging all students, enriched and inspired by their Catholic and Francophone identity, to become critical and creative thinkers, assertive and mature young adults, and engaged and ethical citizens,” she added.

Director of Education Réjean Sirois agreed, saying, “Our student profile upon finishing school leads play a key role in their schools with respect to launching learning experience transformation. From introducing new emergent pedagogies and integrating technology in the service of learning to setting up learning spaces and environments and demonstrating leadership and caring, our leads support teachers and principals in bringing about change designed to enhance student engagement.”
