Academic Performance

One of the highest graduation rates in the province

CECCE high school students have one of the highest graduation rates in Ontario. In 2017, 96% of our grade 12 students earned their diploma after four years of high school studies in the CECCE, exceeding the Ontario Ministry of Education’s 85% target by wide margin. The drop-out rate is 1.0%.

Ontario’s top-performing students

The number of grade 10 students who pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) has been rising steadily every year. In 2017, 94% of our students passed the OSSLT on the first try, which is one of the highest success rates in the province.

Bilingualism certificate

All grade 12 students who take a grade 12 English class, whether they are in the pre-university, pre-college or pre-employment stream, may have their proficiency in English recognized with a bilingualism certificate by taking an internationally recognized standardized test, the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC).
