Gymnastics Program

Sport-Study Program in Gymnastics

In Partnership with Les Sittelles

A unique francophone program!

MY PASSION, AT MY PACE

The Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE), in partnership with Les Sittelles Gymnastics Club, is offering students in Grades 4 to 12 the opportunity to experience a Sport-Study program in gymnastics. This specialized program will help students develop their athletic abilities, discipline, personal achievement, and mental health, by offering a flexible schedule that combines study with training.

The goal of the program is to help students develop their physical abilities, their personal discipline, and their concentration, cooperation and friendship skills in a positive, inclusive and safe environment where they can flourish in a French-Catholic setting.

A FLEXIBLE ACADEMIC PROGRAM

Grades 4 to 8

Students in Grades 4 to 6 follow the personalized instruction model and are enrolled in the École élémentaire catholique d'enseignement personnalisé La Source. They go to Les Sittelles Gymnastics Club at 12:15.

Students in Grades 7 and 8 attend school at Les Sittelles and are supervised by a teacher from the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est.

Grades 9 to 12

The high school model is designed on a student-by-student basis. The program will be customized, based on their needs, to offer a comprehensive experience. Students will take their academic classes online or at the high school in their area. Depending on their pathway, they may be able to earn a credit in physical education and a credit under the co-op program for participating in the Sport-Study program in gymnastics.

MADE-TO-MEASURE TRAINING

Students will train from August to June in order to reach their personal movement and performance objectives based on the Ontario Competitive Program (OCP) developed by Gymnastics Ontario, and will participate in competitions at their level.

Athletes will be placed by age group and competition level, as determined by the coach responsible for the program and based on the movements they can perform. Provincial- and national-level athletes will have the option, if they so desire, to continue their training with the club outside of the hours covered by the program.
