Long-Term Vision for Kemptville Pavilion of École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys Made Possible with Lease Renewal

April 21, 2017, KEMPTVILLE - Families of children attending the Kemptville Pavilion of École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys can breathe easy knowing that a new long-term lease will enable students to continue their studies on the Kemptville College campus.

The Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE) and the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario signed a 10-year lease with two five-year lease renewal options. The lease makes it possible for École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys to continue using Fraser Hall for elementary students and includes exclusive use of Gibson Hall for high school students, who will continue to use the Parish Building until the Gibson Hall redesign and renovation work is completed.

Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est Chair Johanne Lacombe is very pleased with the new lease: “When parents choose a school for their children, stability is a very important factor. That so many families in Kemptville and the surrounding area have registered their children at the Kemptville Pavilion of École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys is a sure sign of confidence, and the CECCE is proud to announce the good news about the school’s long-term stability.” Ms. Lacombe is grateful to the parents who helped achieve the CECCE’s objectives for École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys.

CECCE Director of Education Réjean Sirois says that signing the lease is an important step toward ensuring a promising future for French Catholic education in Kemptville. “Beginning this coming school year, the Kemptville Pavilion of École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys will offer very attractive programming around human and planetary health with a focus on climate change. Now that a long-term lease has been signed, the community can take its vision even farther into the future knowing that the school has found its permanent home on the Kemptville College campus,” he said.
